The countdown to 2023 started, and we are excited about the opportunities that the new year holds, but this is always a good time to reflect on what 2022 delivered.
Let's take a quick peek at the highlights of 2022.
The arrival of the new DF140B
In March 2022, the NEW DF115B and DF140B arrived. These mechanically controlled outboards host a range of new innovative technologies from Suzuki, compactly packaged in a new smoother, and more aesthetic body. Providing heavy-duty, high-performance, long-lasting durability and fuel efficiency. We are proud to have welcomed these outboards to our Family this year!
Suzuki Marine Dealer Conference
Suzuki Marine is the top-selling four-stroke outboard motor in South Africa and our dealers are the arms and legs of our unyielding team. During June we celebrated the achievements of our dealers at our national dealer conference and awards evening. Reaching record sales is achieved through thousands of interactions between a dealer, a salesperson, a workshop manager, and a customer and we are proud of the high average standards set by our dealers!
The event ended with a surprise reveal of our next Suzuki Dealer trip which the Suzuki Black Marlins team is looking forward to during 2023.
Nampo 2022
We attended NAMPO 2022 in Bothaville in May where we had a range of boats fitted with Suzuki outboards on display. We enjoyed an impressive turnout and exposure to a diversity of markets.
Setting records
In September 2022, Suzuki Marine achieved another milestone by selling a record 176 outboards. The new record positively shattered the previous record of 164 units set in June 2020.
Cape Town Boat Show (BOATICA)
During 2021 the Cape Town Boat show was postponed due to Covid regulations, so it was with great excitement that Suzuki attended the 2022 Boatica in Cape Town held at the V&A Waterfront, with some dealers from the network exhibiting their latest editions to their boat fleet, paired with the ultimate Suzuki! The 2022 show was a great success, and we look forward to BOATICA 2023.

Suzuki Marine and our dealers are proud partners in a diversity of fishing competitions that run throughout the course of the year. During 2022 we had another exceptional year with well-organized events including:

Arriving in January 2023
We kick off 2023 with loads of excitement as we await the arrival of the New Suzuki Flagship DF350AMD, which will be available in South Africa from January 2023. The DF350AMD hosts Suzuki’s latest technologies including an integrated steering system and advanced gear case.
