Suzuki Marine is committed to offering the ultimate marine lifestyle to our customers by offering our clients the highest levels of satisfaction starting from development, through to manufacturing, sales, and after-sales.
When looking at surf launching in South Africa we know that outboard performance is a crucial factor that cannot be overlooked, especially when you need to ditch the sudden curler that stands up in front of you when heading through the surf.
When Suzuki Marine engineers look at performance, they look at smooth and quick acceleration at all operating ranges as well as powerful torque. Our technologies are designed to provide ultimate performance out of our outboards, which are:
The Offset Drive Shaft provides less vibration, makes the outboard more compact and produces stable steering performance. This means that the engine powerhead is positioned close to the front, moving the outboard's centre of gravity forward.
The 2 stage gear reduction system which incorporates the Offset Driveshaft features a first-stage reduction between the crankshaft and drive shaft and a second-stage reduction inside the gear case. This design makes a larger gear ratio possible, allowing it to turn a large-diameter propeller. This allows increased power to turn large-diameter propellers, offering quick acceleration, provides high propulsive efficiency with large-diameter propeller and powerful navigation, maintaining propeller rotation even with a larger load.
High Energy Rotation equips the DF60AV outboard with a 2.42 gear ratio, which is larger than the standard model. When combined with a large 14-inch propeller, the powerful system can deliver an explosive forward thrust. This is ideal for heavy boats. This provides the following benefits: powerful navigation and precise maneuvering even with big loads, increased power, offering quick acceleration, better hole shot, and superior low speed handling.
Direct air intake has been designed to create a direct airflow from the intake port to the cylinder and suppresses any increase in the intake temperature and improves combustion efficiency. This delivers higher power output from a small displacement with improved combustion efficiency.
The Variable Valve Timing is used to control the opening and closing timing of the intake valve depending on the engine operation which in turn offers smooth powerful torque and provides increased acceleration during operation for all speed ranges.
Multi-stage induction means that the manifold pipes are switched between short and long during low speed and high-speed operation to ensure the right volume of air enters the engine. This results in an increased output during high-speed operation with greater volume of air input it also Increases combustion efficiency and maximizes torque by increasing the density of the air intake during low-speed operation.
The combination of these technologies ensures ultimate performance from the ultimate outboard, giving you peace of mind on the water and launching through the surf.
