And we have a winner. None other than PEDSAC’s own Ben de Bruyn won the ECM Species Challenge 2018 grand prize of a new boat powered by a Suzuki DF60A. Out of a total of 9 species winners, Ben won the final draw. Despite one blowout day on Saturday 17 November, Friday the 16th and Sunday 18 November made for good fishing days in Port Elizabeth during this annual bottom fishing competition. Anglers caught and released loads of fish – a reminder that this competition uses a unique release mechanism to promote bottom fish.
